Our Story
From a boy in Benin City to a global worship academy.
2012
The Beginning
As a young boy growing up in Benin City, Nigeria, Destiny developed a deep fascination for music and musical instruments. What began as curiosity gradually became a lifelong passion, laying the foundation for a future devoted to worship and musical excellence.
2016
A Life-Changing Encounter
Following a profound and transformative encounter with the Holy Spirit, Destiny became part of a community of highly skilled and deeply anointed worship leaders and musicians at RCCG Citadel of Favour, Benin City, Nigeria. The team gathered consistently to worship, pray, study music together, sharpen one another spiritually and musically, and minister across churches, conferences, worship gatherings and Christian events — experiences that profoundly shaped his philosophy of worship, leadership and musical excellence.
2018
Leadership Formation
Destiny was appointed Choir Master, providing invaluable hands-on leadership experience in directing choirs, mentoring musicians, organising rehearsals, arranging worship sets, and cultivating healthy worship culture. This season became a practical school of leadership, administration and servant-hearted ministry.
2019
Teaching Begins
Building upon years of growth and practical experience, Destiny began actively teaching Piano, Drums, Music Theory and Practical Musicianship as a volunteer within his local church. Teaching quickly became more than instruction — it became discipleship, mentoring and raising worshippers whose lives reflected both musical excellence and spiritual maturity.
2022
A New Chapter in the United Kingdom
Destiny relocated to the United Kingdom. While continuing academic research and professional development, God began to deepen the burden of establishing an institution dedicated to raising a generation of worshippers, musicians and creative leaders grounded in both spiritual formation and technical excellence.
2025
The Birth of the Vision
At the beginning of 2025, Destiny received a clear mandate from God to establish what would become Destiny Osagie Worship Music Academy (DOWMA). Pilot classes were launched successfully in Bradford and Manchester, before expanding to Plymouth, refining the curriculum, teaching philosophy and long-term vision for a globally accessible worship music academy.

Official Registration
DOWMA was officially incorporated in the United Kingdom as DOWMA HOLDINGS LTD, establishing a strong legal foundation for the Academy's long-term mission of transforming worship culture through education, discipleship, leadership formation, creativity and excellence.
The Founder
Destiny Osagie
Destiny Osagie is a Worship Pastor, Music Director and Educator whose life is devoted to raising worshippers, musicians and creative leaders who carry both excellence in skill and depth in God's presence.
With almost two decades of ministry experience serving local churches, conferences, music festivals, concerts and worship gatherings across continents, he combines practical ministry with ongoing research in worship theology, creative leadership and Christian formation.
Originally from Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria, Destiny possesses a scientific background as a Cancer Pharmacologist. However, his greatest passion lies in equipping people — particularly young people — to discover authentic worship, cultivate spiritual maturity and become carriers of God's manifest presence.
His ministry is centred on restoring the order of true worship, raising disciples who minister from intimacy with Christ rather than performance, and cultivating environments where the power, glory and Shekinah presence of God are revealed.
He serves as a mentor to emerging worship leaders, a songwriter, a budding music producer and an educator committed to developing musicians who combine technical mastery with spiritual sensitivity, humility and Kingdom character.
