This policy explains what information DOWMA holds about you, why we hold it, how we keep it safe and the rights you have over it. It applies to this website, the student portal and the courses we deliver online and in person. This page is maintained by DOWMA and is kept under regular review.

• Account details, including your password in encrypted form
• Course enrolment information
• Payment information (processed by our payment provider; DOWMA does not store card numbers)
• Assignment submissions, including audio, video and written work
• Learning progress, lesson completion and certificates earned
• Communication records, such as emails and enquiry forms

• Delivering courses and lesson content
• Managing student accounts and enrolments
• Marking assignments and providing certificates
• Communicating updates, timetables and pastoral care
• Improving our educational programmes
• Maintaining safeguarding standards across the academy

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

Student data is stored on managed, access-controlled infrastructure and transmitted over encrypted connections. Access is limited to the faculty and administrators who need it to teach, mark work and support students. We keep records only for as long as they are needed for education, certification and legal obligations.

You may at any time ask us to:

• Provide a copy of the information we hold about you
• Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
• Delete your account and associated learning records
• Restrict or object to certain processing
• Withdraw consent for optional communications

DOWMA uses essential cookies to keep you signed in and to keep the student portal secure. We may also use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages and courses are most useful so we can improve them. Essential cookies cannot be switched off without breaking sign-in; you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.
