Commitment

Accessibility Statement

DOWMA seeks to make worship music education accessible to everyone, whatever their device, ability or circumstance.

Last updated January 2026

Our commitments

  • Responsive design that works on phones, tablets, laptops and large screens
  • Clear, consistent navigation across the website and student portal
  • Readable content with generous type sizes and strong colour contrast
  • Keyboard accessibility for every interactive control, with visible focus states
  • Accessible videos with captions where possible, plus written lesson notes for every session
  • Reduced-motion support for students who prefer fewer animations
  • An inclusive learning environment with reasonable adjustments on request

Standards we work to

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. This is an ongoing commitment rather than a certification: we test regularly and fix issues as we find them.

Known limitations

Some embedded lesson videos rely on third-party player controls, and captions are still being added to older recordings. Written notes and practice sheets are provided for every lesson in the meantime.

Tell us about a barrier

If any part of DOWMA is difficult to use, email hello@dowma.org and tell us what you were trying to do. We will respond and, where we can, provide the material in an alternative format.
